Whereas the Minister of Transport has consulted with the members of the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority and with the users of its services, with respect to the appointment of a Chairman, to serve part‑time, pursuant to subsection 3(2) of the Pilotage Act;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 3 of the Pilotage Act, hereby appoints J. Douglas Smith of Cobourg, Ontario, as part‑time Chairman of the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years, in the place of Brian Charles Ducharme.

    

Attendu que le ministre des Transports a consulté les membres de l’Administration de pilotage des Grands Lacs et les utilisateurs de ses services concernant la nomination du président du conseil, à temps partiel, en vertu du paragraphe 3(2) de la Loi sur le pilotage,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 3 de la Loi sur le pilotage, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme J. Douglas Smith, de Cobourg (Ontario), président du conseil à temps partiel de l’Administration de pilotage des Grands Lacs, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de trois ans, en remplacement de Brian Charles Ducharme.
