Whereas the Honourable Jacqueline C. Coutu, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, has become afflicted with a permanent infirmity disabling her from the due execution of her office and has tendered her resignation;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, hereby

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Jacqueline C. Coutu; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(c) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Jacqueline C. Coutu an annuity of $163,133.33, to commence on the date of this Order in Council and to continue during her life.

Attendu que l’honorable Jacqueline C. Coutu, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de l’Alberta, a donné sa démission pour incapacité par suite d’une infirmité permanente,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Jacqueline C. Coutu;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)c) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Jacqueline C. Coutu, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 163 133,33 $, payable à compter de la date du présent décret.
