Whereas the Honourable Hilroy S. Nathanson, a Judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, will attain the age of seventy‑five years on May 15, 2007, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

 

And whereas the Honourable Justice Nathanson has held judicial office for at least ten years;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $163,133.33 to the Honourable Hilroy S. Nathanson, commencing on May 15, 2007 and continuing thenceforth during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Hilroy S. Nathanson, juge de la Cour suprême de la Nouvelle-Écosse, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 15 mai 2007 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

 

Attendu que l’honorable juge Nathanson a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Hilroy S. Nathanson, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 163 133,33 $, payable à compter du 15 mai 2007.
