Whereas the Honourable Charles R. Huband, a Judge of the Court of Appeal for Manitoba, will attain the age of seventy‑five years on February 23, 2007, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

 

And whereas the Honourable Justice Huband has held judicial office for at least ten years;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $163,133.33 to the Honourable Charles R. Huband, commencing on February 23, 2007 and continuing thenceforth during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Charles R. Huband, juge de la Cour d’appel du Manitoba, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 23 février 2007 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

 

Attendu que l’honorable juge Huband a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Charles R. Huband, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 163 133,33 $, payable à compter du 23 février 2007.
