Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to Vote No. 1a (Foreign Affairs and International Trade) of Appropriation Act No. 3, 2006-2007, hereby appoints Paul‑Henri Lapointe as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the Organization for Economic Co‑operation and Development in Paris, effective March 26, 2007.
