Whereas by resolution of the Senate dated December 13, 2006, and resolution of the House of Commons dated December 13, 2006, the Senate and House of Commons have approved the appointment of Robert Marleau as Information Commissioner;

 

Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to subsections 54(1), 54(2) and 55(2) of the Access to Information Act, advise that a Commission do issue under the Great Seal appointing Robert Marleau of Ottawa, Ontario, to be the Information Commissioner to hold office during good behaviour for a term of seven years, and fixes his conditions of employment as set out in the schedule hereto, effective January 15, 2007.

Attendu que, en vertu d’une résolution prise par le Sénat en date du 13 décembre 2006 et d’une résolution prise par la Chambre des communes en date du 13 décembre 2006, le Sénat et la Chambre des communes ont approuvé la nomination de Robert Marleau à titre de Commissaire à l’information; 

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu des paragraphes 54(1), 54(2) et 55(2) de la Loi sur l’accès à l’information, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande de nommer, par commission sous le grand seau, Robert Marleau, d’Ottawa (Ontario), Commissaire à l’information, pour occuper sa charge à titre inamovible pour un mandat de sept ans, et fixe ses conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, à compter du 15 janvier 2007.
