Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, after consultation with the Board of Directors of VIA Rail Canada Inc., pursuant to sections 105 and 108 of the Financial Administration Act, hereby appoints Donald A. Wright of Toronto, Ontario, to be Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIA Rail Canada Inc., to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years, and fixes his remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is comprised of a per diem within the range ($410 ‑ $485) and an annual retainer within the range ($10,500 ‑ $12,400).

Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports, après consultation du conseil d’administration de VIA Rail Canada Inc., et en vertu des articles 105 et 108 de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Donald A. Wright, de Toronto (Ontario), président du conseil d’administration de VIA Rail Canada Inc., à titre amovible, pour un mandat de trois ans, et fixe sa rémunération conformément à l’annexe ci‑jointe, laquelle rémunération est composée d’un taux journalier dans l’échelle (410 $ ‑ 485 $) et d’honoraires annuels dans l’échelle (10 500 $ ‑ 12 400 $).
