Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to section 20 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, hereby approves that the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Government of Canada, enter into the following arrangements with the Government of British Columbia for the use of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in aiding the administration of justice in the province and in carrying into effect the laws in force in the province:

 

(a) an arrangement providing for the framework of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police First Nations community policing service in the province, substantially in accordance with the annexed draft agreement; and

 

(b) arrangements under the framework which relate to particular First Nation communities, substantially in accordance with the draft Community Tripartite Agreement set out in Schedule C to the draft agreement referred to in paragraph (a).

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu de l’article 20 de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve que le ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile conclue, au nom du Canada, avec la Colombie-Britannique, les arrangements ci‑après pour l’utilisation de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada en vue de l’administration de la justice dans la province et de la mise en œuvre des lois qui y sont en vigueur :

 

a) un arrangement prévoyant un régime pour la prestation du Service de police communautaire des Premières Nations de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada en Colombie-Britannique, lequel arrangement est conforme en substance au projet d’entente cadre ci‑joint;

 

b) dans le cadre de ce régime, des arrangements visant des collectivités particulières des Premières Nations, conformes en substance au projet d’entente communautaire tripartite figurant à l’annexe C du projet d’entente mentionné à l’alinéa a).
