Attendu que l'honorable John S. Moore, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de l’Alberta, atteindra l'âge de soixante‑quinze ans le 15 septembre 2006 et, en conséquence, cessera d'occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l'article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

 

Attendu que ledit juge Moore a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l'alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l'honorable John S. Moore, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 154 066,66 $, payable à compter du 15 septembre 2006, et qu'elle continue durant sa vie.

Whereas the Honourable John S. Moore, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, will attain the age of seventy‑five years on September 15, 2006, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

 

And whereas the said Mr. Justice Moore has held judicial office for at least ten years;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $154,066.66 to the Honourable John S. Moore, commencing on September 15, 2006, and continuing thenceforth during his life.
