Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes that Minister

 

(a) firstly,

 

(i) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on British Armed Forces’ Training in Canada, or

 

(ii) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing the Honourable Gordon J. O’Connor, Minister of National Defence, or Guy Saint-Jacques, Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, or Ward Elcock, Deputy Minister of National Defence, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on British Armed Forces’ Training in Canada; and

 

(b) secondly, to take the action necessary to bring the Agreement into force for Canada.

Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil, sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, autorise celui‑ci :

 

a) d’une part,

 

(i) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement du Royaume‑Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande du Nord concernant l’entraînement des forces armées britanniques au Canada,

 

(ii) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant l’honorable Gordon J. O’Connor, ministre de la Défense nationale, Guy Saint-Jacques, haut-commissaire adjoint auprès du Royaume‑Uni, ou Ward Elcock, sous-ministre de la Défense nationale, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement du Royaume‑Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d’Irlande du Nord concernant l’entraînement des forces armées britanniques au Canada;

 

b) d’autre part, à prendre les mesures nécessaires à l’entrée en vigueur de l’Accord pour le Canada.
