Whereas the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority, pursuant to subsection 34(1) of the Pilotage Act, published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on November 5, 2005, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Great Lakes Pilotage Tariff Regulations, substantially in the form set out in the annexed Regulations;

 

Whereas a notice of objection to the proposed Regulations was filed with the Canadian Transportation Agency in accordance with subsection 34(2) of the Pilotage Act;

 

And whereas, as the result of an agreement with the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority, the Shipping Federation of Canada withdrew their notice of objection to the revised proposed Regulations;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to subsection 33(1) of the Pilotage Act, hereby approves the annexed Regulations Amending the Great Lakes Pilotage Tariff Regulations, made on February 9, 2006 by the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority.

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 34(1) de la Loi sur le pilotage, l’Administration de pilotage des Grands Lacs a publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I, le 5 novembre 2005, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les tarifs de pilotage des Grands Lacs, conforme en substance au texte ci‑après;

 

Attendu qu’un avis d’opposition au projet de règlement a été déposé auprès de l’Office des transports du Canada conformément au paragraphe 34(2) de la Loi sur le pilotage;

 

Attendu que, par suite d’un accord avec l’Administration de pilotage des Grands Lacs, la Fédération maritime du Canada a retiré son avis d’opposition au projet de règlement révisé,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu du paragraphe 33(1) de la Loi sur le pilotage, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les tarifs de pilotage des Grands Lacs, ci‑après, pris le 9 février 2006 par l’Administration de pilotage des Grands Lacs.
