Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to subsection 54(4) of the Access to Information Act, hereby reappoints the Honourable John M. Reid, P.C., of Ottawa, Ontario, to hold office while the office of the Information Commissioner is vacant, for a term of six months, and fixes his salary and other conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($190,600 ‑ $224,200) and authorizes the payment of travel and living expenses incurred by Mr. Reid in the course of his duties under the Access to Information Act in accordance with Treasury Board authorities, effective April 1, 2006.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu du paragraphe 54(4) de la Loi sur l’accès à l’information, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil confie à l’honorable John M. Reid, c.p., d’Ottawa (Ontario), durant la vacance du poste de Commissaire à l’information, pour un mandat de six mois, les pouvoirs et fonctions conférés au titulaire de ce poste, fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci‑jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (190 600 $ ‑ 224 200 $), et autorise le remboursement des frais de déplacement et de séjour entraînés par l’accomplissement des fonctions conférées à M. Reid par la Loi sur l’accès à l’information conformément aux autorisations du Conseil du Trésor, à compter du 1^er avril 2006.
