Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to sections 6.4 and 6.5 of the Royal Canadian Mint Act, hereby

 

(a) authorizes the issue of a twenty‑five cent circulation coin, the characteristics of which shall be as specified in item 4.1 of Part 2 of the schedule to that Act and the diameter of which shall be 23.88 mm; and

 

(b) determines the design of that coin to be as follows, namely,

 

(i) the obverse impression shall depict the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, with the initials “SB” on the bottom left‑hand corner of the neckline, and the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “2006” and “D×G×REGINA” to the left, top and right, respectively, and the letter “P” below the effigy, and

 

(ii) the reverse impression shall depict four breast cancer ribbons, a coloured one in the centre and three others at the top, lower left and lower right of the coin, with the words “CANADA” and “25 cents” at the bottom, upper left and upper right of the coin, and the artist’s initials “CS” on the bottom right of the coin.

Sur recommandation du ministre du Revenu national et en vertu des articles 6.4 et 6.5 de la Loi sur la Monnaie royale canadienne, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) autorise l’émission d’une pièce de monnaie de circulation de vingt‑cinq cents dont les caractéristiques sont précisées à l’article 4.1 de la partie 2 de l’annexe de cette loi et dont le diamètre est de 23,88 mm;

 

b) fixe le dessin de cette pièce de la manière suivante :

 

(i) à l’avers est gravée l’effigie de Sa Majesté la Reine Elizabeth II par Susanna Blunt, avec les initiales « SB » à côté de la ligne de démarcation du cou, dans le coin inférieur gauche, et les inscriptions « ELIZABETH II », « 2006 » et « D×G×REGINA » à la gauche, en haut et à la droite, respectivement; la lettre « P » se trouve au bas de l’effigie;

 

(ii) au revers est gravé un dessin qui représente quatre rubans symbolisant la sensibilisation au cancer du sein, soit un au centre, coloré, un au dessus de celui‑ci et les deux autres au dessous, à gauche et à droite; les inscriptions « CANADA » et « 25 cents » apparaissent au bas de la pièce et au haut de celle‑ci à droite et à gauche, et les initiales de l’artiste, « CS », dans la partie inférieure droite de la pièce.
