Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the

 

recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

 

(a) pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, transfers from the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to the Minister of Canadian Heritage the control and supervision of the portion of the federal public administration known as the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada, and

 

(b) orders that the Minister of Canadian Heritage shall preside over the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada,

 

effective February 6, 2006.

 

 

 

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) en vertu de l'alinéa 2a) de la Loi sur les restructurations et les transferts d'attributions dans l'administration publique, transfère du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile au ministre du Patrimoine canadien la responsabilité à l'égard du secteur de l'administration publique fédérale connu sous le nom de Bureau du Canada sur le règlement des questions des pensionnats autochtones;

 

b) place le Bureau du Canada sur le règlement des questions des pensionnats autochtones sous l'autorité du ministre du Patrimoine canadien.

 

Ces mesures prennent effet le 6 février 2006.
