Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to section 8 of the Nunavut Act, hereby:

 

(a)                appoints Helen Mamayaok Maksagak of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, to be Deputy Commissioner of Nunavut to execute the office and functions of the Commissioner during her absence or illness or other inability or when the office of Commissioner is vacant, for a term of three years; and

 

(b)               fixes her salary at the rate set out in the attached schedule, which salary is within the range ($11,500 ‑ $13,000). 

 

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu de l’article 8 de la Loi sur le Nunavut, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a)                  nomme Helen Mamayaok Maksagak, de Cambridge Bay (Nunavut), au poste de commissaire adjoint du Nunavut pour assurer l’intérim en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement du commissaire ou de vacance de son poste, pour un mandat de trois ans;

 

b)                  fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci‑jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (11 500 $ ‑ 13 000 $).
