Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of State styled Minister for Internal Trade, Deputy Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, and Minister responsible for Official Languages, pursuant to subsection 24(1) of the Canada Elections Act, hereby appoints Alfred R. (Kurt) Wensler, 10181 Manor Drive, Chilliwack, British Columbia, to be the Returning Officer for the electoral district of Chilliwack–Fraser Canyon, as established in the Representation Order proclaimed on August 25, 2003.
