Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to Vote No. 1 (Foreign Affairs and International Trade) of Appropriation Act No. 2, 2005‑2006, hereby:

 

(a)       appoints Bhupinder Liddar as Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements and to the United Nations Environment Program in Nairobi, and Special Representative of Canada to the World Urban Forum;

 

(b)       fixes his salary at the rate set out in the attached schedule, which salary is within the range ($114,300 ‑ $134,500); and

 

(c)        upon appointment of his successor, provides for a transitional period to permit the provision of information or advice with respect to any related matter;

 

effective October 28, 2005.

 

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères et en vertu du crédit n^o 1 (Affaires étrangères et Commerce international) de la Loi de crédits n^o 2 pour 2005‑2006, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a)         nomme Bhupinder Liddar en qualité de représentant permanent adjoint du Canada auprès du Centre des Nations Unies pour les établissements humains et auprès du Programme des Nations Unies pour l’environnement, à Nairobi, et représentant spécial du Canada auprès du Forum urbain mondial;

 

b)         fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci‑jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (114 300 $ ‑ 134 500 $);

 

c)         accorde une période transitoire, au moment de la nomination de son successeur, lui permettant de fournir les renseignements et les avis qui se rapportent à tous les sujets reliés;

 

à compter du 28 octobre 2005.
