Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes Frank McKenna, Ambassador of Canada to the United States of America, or Claude Carrière, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America constituting an Agreement extending the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America Providing for Coordination of the Icebreaking Activities of Canada and the United States on the Great Lakes, done at Ottawa on December 5, 1980, as amended.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise Frank McKenna, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique ou Claude Carrière, ministre et chef de mission adjoint, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, l’Échange de Notes entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique constituant un Accord prolongeant l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique prévoyant la coordination des activités canado-américaines de brisage des glaces dans les Grands Lacs, fait à Ottawa, le 5 décembre 1980, tel que modifié.
