Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and the Treasury Board, hereby authorizes that Minister to make a payment of $8,000 to each individual who, as a student, attended an Indian Residential School within the meaning of the Agreement in Principle dated November 20, 2005 and who reached the age of 65 years on or before May 30, 2005, on receipt of an application in writing.

Sur recommandation de la vice‑première ministre et ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et du Conseil du Trésor, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise la ministre à verser, sur réception d’une demande écrite, un paiement de 8 000 $ à chaque ancien élève de tout pensionnat indien – au sens de l’Accord de principe daté du 20 novembre 2005 – qui avait 65 ans révolus au 30 mai 2005.
