Whereas the Honourable William R. Matheson, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan, will attain the age of seventy-five years on November 14, 2005, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable William R. Matheson has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $149,466.66 to the Honourable William R. Matheson, commencing on November 14, 2005 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable William R. Matheson, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de la Saskatchewan, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 14 novembre 2005 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable William R. Matheson, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 149 466,66 $, à compter du 14 novembre 2005.
