                  Whereas, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of the Cree-Naskapi (of Quebec) Act, the Waskaganish Band has made the annexed By-law No. 134 concerning the change of the Band’s name;

                  And whereas, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of that Act, By-law No. 134 was approved by the electors of the Waskaganish Band at a special Band meeting held on August 22, 2002 at which at least five percent of the electors of the band voted on the matter;

                  Therefore Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of the Cree-Naskapi (of Quebec) Act, hereby approves the annexed By-law No. 134 concerning the change of the Band’s name, made by the Waskaganish Band on October 31, 2001.

                  Attendu que, en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de la Loi sur les Cris et les Naskapis du Québec, la bande de Waskaganish a adopté le règlement administratif n^o 134 concernant la modification de la désignation de la bande, ci-joint;

                  Attendu que, en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de cette loi, les électeurs de la bande de Waskaganish ont approuvé le règlement administratif n^o 134 en assemblée extraordinaire tenue le 22 août 2002, avec un taux de participation au vote d’au moins cinq pour cent,

                  À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de la Loi sur les Cris et les Naskapis du Québec, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve le règlement administratif n^o 134 concernant la modification de la désignation de la bande, ci-joint, adopté par la bande de Waskaganish le 31 octobre 2001.
