                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes that Minister

(a) firstly,

(i) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Japan Concerning Cooperation on Anticompetitive Activities, or

(ii) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Sheridan Scott, Commissioner of Competition, Department of Industry, or MacKenzie Clugston, Chargé d’affaires, Embassy of Canada in Japan, or David Mulroney, Assistant Deputy Minister, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Japan Concerning Cooperation on Anticompetitive Activities; and

(b) secondly, to take the action necessary to bring the Agreement into force for Canada.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise ce dernier :

     a)  premièrement :

(i) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, un accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement du Japon concernant la coopération en matière de pratiques anticoncurrentielles,

(ii) soit à établir et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Sheridan Scott, commissaire de la concurrence, ministère de l’Industrie, MacKenzie Clugston, chargé d’affaires, ambassade du Canada au Japon, ou David Mulroney, sous-ministre adjoint, Relations bilatérales, ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, un accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement du Japon concernant la coopération en matière de pratiques anticoncurrentielles;

b) deuxièmement, à prendre les mesures nécessaires à la prise d’effet de l’Accord pour le Canada.
