                     Whereas the Honourable Lawrence C. Kozak, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), will attain the age of seventy-five years on September 9, 2005, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

                     And whereas the Honourable Lawrence C. Kozak has held judicial office for at least ten years;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $149,466.66 to the Honourable Lawrence C. Kozak, commencing on September 9, 2005 and continuing during his life.

                     Attendu que l’honorable Lawrence C. Kozak, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice (Ontario), atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 9 septembre 2005 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

                     Attendu que le juge Kozak a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Lawrence C. Kozak, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 149 466,66 $, à compter du 9 septembre 2005.
