                      Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, hereby:

           (a)      pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Merchant Seamen Compensation Act, appoints Ajit Singh Mehat of Ottawa, Ontario, to be a member of the Merchant Seamen Compensation Board, to hold office during pleasure; and

           (b)      pursuant to subsection 3(2) of the Merchant Seamen Compensation Act, designates Ajit Singh Mehat as chairman of the Merchant Seamen Compensation Board.

                      Sur recommandation du ministre du Travail, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

           a)       en vertu du paragraphe 3(1) de la Loi sur l’indemnisation des marins marchands, nomme Ajit Singh Mehat, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire de la Commission d’indemnisation des marins marchands, à titre amovible;

           b)       en vertu du paragraphe 3(2) de la Loi sur l’indemnisation des marins marchands, désigne Ajit Singh Mehat, président de la Commission d’indemnisation des marins marchands.
