                        Whereas, pursuant to subsection 562.12(1) of the Canada Shipping Act, a copy of the proposed Boat and Fire Drill and Means of Exit Regulations, substantially in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on March 12, 2005, and a reasonable opportunity was thereby afforded to ship owners, masters, seamen and other interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Transport with respect to the proposed Regulations;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 314, subsection 338(1), sections 339 and 380 and paragraph 562.1(1)(c) of the Canada Shipping Act, hereby makes the annexed Boat and Fire Drill and Means of Exit Regulations.

                     Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 562.12(1) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement sur les sorties à quai et les exercices d’embarcation et d’incendie, conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I le 12 mars 2005 et que les propriétaires de navire, capitaines, marins et autres intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter au ministre des Transports leurs observations à cet égard,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 314, du paragraphe 338(1), des articles 339 et 380 et de l’alinéa 562.1(1)c) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement sur les sorties à quai et les exercices d’embarcation et d’incendie, ci-après.
