                  Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and the Treasury Board, pursuant to section 5 of the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Act, hereby authorizes the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to undertake, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the annexed Attachment “B”:

 

(a) the renewal and strengthening of the Canadian Rural Partnership for the period commencing on April 1, 2003 and ending on March 31, 2008;

 

(b) the Rural Community Capacity Building Program for the period commencing on April 1, 2002 and ending on March 31, 2007; and

 

(c) the Co-operative Development Initiative for the period commencing on April 1, 2003 and ending on March 31, 2008.

                    Sur recommandation du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu de l’article 5 de la Loi sur le ministère de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire à prendre les mesures ci-après, conformément aux modalités figurant à l’annexe B ci-jointe :

 

a) la reconduction et le renforcement de l’initiative Partenariat rural canadien pour la période allant du 1er avril 2003 au 31 mars 2008;

 

b) la mise en oeuvre du Programme de renforcement des capacités des collectivités rurales pour la période allant du 1er avril 2002 au 31 mars 2007;

 

c) la mise en oeuvre de l’Initiative de développement des coopératives pour la période allant du 1er avril 2003 au 31 mars 2008.
