                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources, pursuant to subsections 10(2), 12(1) and 15(2) of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act, hereby

          (a)      appoints Diana Lee Dalton of Halifax, Nova Scotia, to be Chairman of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of six years;

          (b)      agrees with the Provincial Government that the terms and conditions of the appointment of Diana Lee Dalton as Chairman of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board should be in accordance with the annexed schedule;

          (c)      fixes the salary of Diana Lee Dalton at the rate set out in the annexed schedule; and

          (d)      fixes the terms and conditions of the appointment of Diana Lee Dalton in accordance with the annexed schedule;

effective September 1, 2005.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles et en vertu des paragraphes 10(2), 12(1) et 15(2) de la Loi de mise en oeuvre de l'Accord Canada—Nouvelle-Écosse des hydrocarbures extracôtiers, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil

          a)       nomme Diana Lee Dalton, de Halifax (Nouvelle-Écosse), président de l'Office Canada–Nouvelle-Écosse des hydrocarbures extracôtiers, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de six ans;

          b)       convient avec le gouvernement provincial que le traitement et les autres conditions d’emploi de Diana Lee Dalton à titre de président de l’Office Canada–Nouvelle-Écosse des hydrocarbures extracôtiers soient conformes à l’annexe ci-jointe;

          c)       fixe le traitement de Diana Lee Dalton au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci-jointe;

          d)       fixe, conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, les conditions d'emploi de Diana Lee Dalton;

à compter du 1^er septembre 2005.
