                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Defence, pursuant to section 5 of the National Defence Act, hereby designates Yves Côté, Q.C., of Gatineau, Quebec, to be Ombudsperson for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces, to hold office during good behaviour, for a term of five years, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($156,900 - $184,600), effective August 2, 2005.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre de la Défense nationale et en vertu de l’article 5 de la Loi sur la défense nationale, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil désigne Yves Côté, c.r., de Gatineau (Québec), au poste d’Ombudsman du ministère de la Défense nationale et des Forces canadiennes, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (156 900 $ - 184 600 $), à compter du 2 août 2005.
