                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 42 of An Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act (Ethics Commissioner and Senate Ethics Officer) and other Acts in consequence, assented to on March 31, 2004, being chapter 7 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, hereby fixes June 1, 2005 as the day on which sections 1 and 3 of that Act come into force.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 42 de la Loi modifiant la Loi sur le Parlement du Canada (conseiller sénatorial en éthique et commissaire à l’éthique) et certaines lois en conséquence, sanctionnée le 31 mars 2004, chapitre 7 des Lois du Canada (2004), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 1^er juin 2005 la date d’entrée en vigueur des articles 1 et 3 de cette loi.
