                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Bank of Canada Act, hereby approves the appointment by the Minister of Finance of Gilles Lepage of Caraquet, New Brunswick, as a director of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada to hold office, during good behaviour, for a term ending February 29, 2008, in the place of Aldéa Landry, whose term has expired.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Finances et en vertu du paragraphe 9(1) de la Loi sur la Banque du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve la nomination par le ministre des Finances de Gilles Lepage, de Caraquet (Nouveau-Brunswick), administrateur du conseil d'administration de la Banque du Canada à titre inamovible pour un mandat se terminant le 29 février 2008, en remplacement de Aldéa Landry, dont le mandat a pris fin.
