          Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to the Special Appointment Regulations, No. 2005-4, pursuant to subsection 3(3) of the Department of Justice Act, hereby appoints William C. McDowell of Toronto, Ontario, to be Associate Deputy Minister of Justice, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range

($160,900 - $189,400), effective July 4, 2005.
