                     Whereas the Minister of Transport has consulted with the members of the Pacific Pilotage Authority and with the users of its services, with respect to the appointment of a Chairman, to serve part-time, pursuant to subsection 3(2) of the Pilotage Act;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 3 of the Pilotage Act, hereby appoints David K. Gardiner of Chilliwack, British Columbia, as part-time Chairman of the Pacific Pilotage Authority to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years.

                     Attendu que le ministre des Transports a consulté les membres de l’Administration de pilotage du Pacifique et les utilisateurs de ses services concernant la nomination du président du conseil, à temps partiel, en vertu du paragraphe 3(2) de la Loi sur le pilotage,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu des articles 3 et 11 de la Loi sur le pilotage, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme David K. Gardiner, de Chilliwack (Colombie-Britannique), président du conseil à temps partiel de l’Administration de pilotage du Pacifique, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de trois ans.
