                     Whereas the Honourable Nicholson D. McRae, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice (Ontario), will attain the age of seventy-five years on July 25, 2005, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

                     And whereas the Honourable Nicholson D. McRae has held judicial office for at least ten years;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $149,466.66 to the Honourable Nicholson D. McRae, commencing on July 25, 2005, and continuing during his life.

                     Attendu que l’honorable Nicholson D. McRae, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice (Ontario), atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 25 juillet 2005 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

                     Attendu que le juge McRae a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice

et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Nicholson D. McRae, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 149 466,66 $, à compter

du 25 juillet 2005.
