                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry and the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 4 of An Act to amend the Patent Act and the Food and Drugs Act (The Jean Chrétien Pledge to Africa), assented to on May 14, 2004, being chapter 23 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, hereby fixes May 14, 2005 as the day on which that Act comes into force.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre de l’Industrie et du ministre de la Santé et en vertu de l’article 4 de la Loi modifiant la Loi sur les brevets et la Loi sur les aliments et drogues (engagement de Jean Chrétien envers l’Afrique), sanctionnée le 14 mai 2004, chapitre 23 des Lois du Canada (2004), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 14 mai 2005 la date d’entrée en vigueur de cette loi.
