                 Whereas, pursuant to subsection 562.12(1) of the Canada Shipping Act, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Collision Regulations (Manoeuvring and Warning Signals — Canadian Modifications and Blue Flashing Light), substantially in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on June 15, 2002 and a reasonable opportunity was thereby afforded to ship owners, masters, seamen and other interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Transport with respect to the proposed Regulations;

                 Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 562.11 of the Canada Shipping Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Collision Regulations (Manoeuvring and Warning Signals — Canadian Modifications and Blue Flashing Light).

                 Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 562.12(1) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les abordages (signaux de manoeuvre et signaux d’avertissement — modifications canadiennes et feu bleu à éclats), conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I le 15 juin 2002 et que les propriétaires de navire, capitaines, marins et autres intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard au ministre des Transports,

                 À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 562.11 de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les abordages (signaux de manoeuvre et signaux d’avertissement — modifications canadiennes et feu bleu à éclats), ci-après.
