                     The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them a report representing that a vacancy has occurred in the representation in the House of Commons for the electoral district of

Labrador, in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, by reason of the death of Mr. Lawrence D. O’Brien.

                     Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council advise that a writ issue for the election of a Member to the House of Commons for the said electoral district, to be dated April 17, 2005, and that the polling be on May 24, 2005.

                     Le Comité du Conseil privé a reçu un rapport portant qu’il existe une vacance à la Chambre des communes pour la circonscription électorale de Labrador, dans la province de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, en raison du décès de monsieur Lawrence D. O’Brien.

                     À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande qu’un bref d’élection, daté du 17 avril 2005, soit délivré en vue de combler la vacance à la Chambre des communes pour cette circonscription électorale et que le scrutin se tienne le 24 mai 2005.
