                     Whereas the Province of Saskatchewan has requested that the cost-sharing of crop insurance premiums be changed starting with the 2002 crop year and Canada concurs with this request;

                     Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Farm Income Protection Act, hereby authorizes the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to enter into amending agreement No. 5, substantially in accordance with the attached draft agreement, for the purpose of amending the Canada-Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Agreement.

                     Attendu que la province de la Saskatchewan a demandé que le partage des coûts liés aux primes d’assurance-récolte soit modifié à compter de la campagne agricole 2002 et que le Canada est d’accord avec cette demande,

                     À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et en vertu du paragraphe 9(1) de la Loi sur la protection du revenu agricole, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire à conclure l’entente modificatrice n^o 5, conforme en substance au projet d’entente ci-joint, afin de modifier l’Entente Canada-Saskatchewan sur l’assurance-récolte.
