                        Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Solicitor General of Canada and the Treasury Board, pursuant to paragraph 95(a) of the Firearms Act, hereby approves that the Solicitor General of Canada enter into an agreement with the governments of each of the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island that provides for payment of compensation by Canada to those provinces in respect of administrative costs actually incurred by them in relation to processing licences and authorizations and applications for licences and authorizations under that Act and that is substantially in accordance with the annexed draft agreement.

                     Sur recommandation de la solliciteure générale du Canada et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu de l’alinéa 95a) de la Loi sur les armes à feu, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil agrée la conclusion, par la solliciteure générale du Canada, d’accords avec l’Ontario, le Québec, la Nouvelle-Écosse, le Nouveau-Brunswick et l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard prévoyant le paiement de compensation par le Canada des frais administratifs effectivement exposés par ces provinces en ce qui concerne le traitement des permis et des autorisations et des demandes y afférentes en vertu de cette loi, lesquels accords sont conformes en substance au projet d’accord ci-joint.
