Whereas, pursuant to section 11 of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Act, the Minister of Transport may designate representatives or classes of representatives of the airline industry and of aerodrome operators to propose nominees to the Minister of Transport for appointment to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Minister of Transport has designated the Air Transport Association of Canada and the National Airlines Council of Canada as the representatives of the airline industry to propose one nominee each to the Minister for the appointment of two directors to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Air Transport Association of Canada has proposed to the Minister of Transport that Patricia Anne Kennedy of Delta, British Columbia, be reappointed to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Minister of Transport considers Patricia Anne Kennedy suitable for reappointment as a director;

And whereas Patricia Anne Kennedy is a person who, in the opinion of the Governor in Council, has the experience and the capacity required for discharging his duties and functions;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to sections 10, 12 and 13 of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Act, reappoints Patricia Anne Kennedy of Delta, British Columbia, as a director of the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years.

Attendu que, en vertu de l’article 11 de la Loi sur l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, le ministre des Transports peut désigner les représentants ou catégories de représentants des transporteurs aériens et ceux des exploitants d’aérodrome qui peuvent lui soumettre le nom de candidats au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien;

Attendu que le ministre des Transports a désigné l’Association du transport aérien du Canada et le Conseil national des lignes aériennes du Canada comme représentants des transporteurs aériens afin de proposer au ministre un candidat chacun pour la nomination de deux administrateurs au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien;

Attendu que l’Association du transport aérien du Canada a soumis au ministre des Transports que le mandat de Patricia Anne Kennedy, de Delta (Colombie-Britannique), au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien soit renouvelé;

Attendu que le ministre des Transports estime que Patricia Anne Kennedy a les capacités nécessaires pour être renouvelée à titre d’administratrice;

Attendu que, de l’avis du gouverneur en conseil, Patricia Anne Kennedy possède l’expérience et la compétence nécessaires,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu des articles 10, 12 et 13 de la Loi sur l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil renouvelle le mandat de Patricia Anne Kennedy, de Delta (Colombie-Britannique), administratrice du conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, à titre amovible pour une période de trois ans.
