Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, after consultation with the board of directors of Marine Atlantic Inc., pursuant to sections 105 and 108 of the Financial Administration Act, appoints Donald Paul Barnes of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, to be President and Chief Executive Officer of Marine Atlantic Inc., to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year, or until such time as a new President and Chief Executive Officer is appointed, whichever occurs first, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range CEO 3 ($179,200 - $210,800).
